Meet Carrina
It has been over 20 years of moments, movements, and milestones. Countless individuals, couples, families, and professionals have entrusted Carrina with their stories, their fears, their hope, and aspirations; many roads travelled, and many wounds healed.
Within Bunbury Counselling Carrina is a Mental Health Social Worker and Therapist with a passion for human experiences; from perinatal well-being, parenting, child, adolescent, and adult mental health, to marital and relationship support.
Carrina is committed to the development of the industry supervising new and emerging counsellors, social workers, and therapists, and guiding professionals through clinical supervision. She is sought out for organisational review and quality improvement.
Growth is not possible without education which led Carrina to opening Willow Training College. Willow acknowledges everyoneโs capacity to both teach and learn and provides the community college space for lifelong learning. It is through Willow Training College, that Carrina opens doors for educating the next generation of therapists and healers.
As a trained Doula and Childbirth Educator, Carrinaโs commitment to supporting strong families expands across Australia with Beer and Bubs: Childbirth Education for Men at the Pub. Carrina maintains a strong stance on the importance of supporting all parents (mums, dads, and carers) and extended family in a childโs wellbeing, which has also led to her launch of Blended Family an online platform that is due to expand into national programs for non-nuclear families Australia wide.
On a personal note, Carrina is the very proud and active parent of seven children who are her greatest achievements and provide her lifeโs biggest learnings. She is a mum (of 4) and a step-mum (of 3) whom she parents with her husband valuing and inspiring self-awareness, self-belief, and a commitment to community.
Carrinaโs professional and personal knowledge and experiences shape her work with individuals, couples, families, and communities to bring about positive change that is derived from the real-life experiences, needs, and desires of those she connects with.
